And by "strongly encourage", I mean you really need to do this if you want to stay here.

I knew that this would happen. But that's not a bad thing in my opinion. Sometimes arguments bring out good points and facts. I haven't made up my mind yet (that's why I asked). I just got a response from my ffl about the plus package that was mentioned early on. He said for an extra $75 he will get me one with the plus package. I don't know if that changes anything along the way of "quality" I know it gives essentially a full milspec gun then. Along with the 4150 barrel and I think a 1x7 twist. Is this correct? I guess when I sit back and read this from a third person point of view I am ignoring you guys. I am trying not to and even in this thread I've learned stuff. But before I get this thread really going (I hope it doesn't end up that way) can I just share my personal experience with firearms.
OK so here it goes. My grandfather had a ruger mk3 when I was 10 and I shot that and fell in love. So my father bought a 10/22 and I shot the heck out of it and loved that (still have it). Then as I got able to buy my own guns I bought a pistol, I chose a Springfield xd 40. Then I bought a 1911 (all you hardcore 1911 guys can laugh now) but I chose a Taurus. My next was a sig mosquito. Then followed by a ruger sp101. I ended up winning a Taurus 24/7 in a raffle and finally my grand father passed down a marlin 36a.
So my history with firearms is mostly pistol. And I'll tell you what. My favorite gun is that "cheap" Taurus 1911. The gun everyone said that it ain't a 1911 unless it's a colt. I haven't had one failure ever. Even the other Taurus. So I guess what I'm trying to say is that I've never had a issue with a so called lesser brand firearm. Maybe ar's are completely different. And maybe I'm wrong in the pistol realm too but I've found that you don't always get what you pay for.
OK story time is over.
STOP! Troll
Is that towards me?
You either obviously know more than others here or are so set on the Stag that it does not matter what anyone else says. Buy the Stag and move on with your life.
I do not think this particular horse is going to get up any time soon.
OP, you have received a lot of information. Study it and chose well when you buy your AR.
Here endth the lesson.
