Got a look at the Keymod mount system for the new KAG grip and Non-QD vertical grips from Bravo last night.
The new mount hardware Grunt proofs attachment of items. It can mount either direction without having to turn any hardware 180 degrees.
Some of the Keymod mounts out there require you to be smarter than a rock to correctly use them... but the new hardware is damned near ARF proof. :sarcastic:
I received my Keymod panels from Midwest Industries today...the quality appears excellent. I'll be installing them on my DD V11 this evening...I'll report back if there are any issues.
I do also have a PWS Bipod adapter that I'm very happy with.
Does anyone offer or has anyone announced future plans to offer a keymod direct attach bipod? Not a keymod sling mount stud or something, I know those exist.
I think it would be fairly easy to make a few tool-less keymod accessories using something similar to the low drag knob on the Scalarworks T1 mount. Just imagine how the mbus pro front sight adjusts and convert the front post into a keymod fastener. The adjustment knob into what you see on the Scalarworks knob.
Just tried the BCM KAG. It's nice. The mounting hardware is well designed. However, I still prefer the Lanco Tactical Grip Stop I had on before. It provides a more ergonomic wrist angle for my taste. I also found that I had to install the KAG farther back to get the same support hand position.
I'm sure some folks will find the KAG more comfortable, but the additional variety of wrist angles possible with the Grip Stop makes it worth a look.
