I believe that tab on the bottom is there to purposely stop it from moving, that is why it sits against one of the keymod holes. Flipping the mount the other way kind of defeats its purpose.

Unsure how to install is a common issue we're addressing with a drawing on the site.
Our mount works perfectly, if you install it correctly. Otherwise, BCM and a soon to be announced legendary weapons mfg would not sell / include them as standard issue on their rifles / uppers / catalog.
There's absolutely nothing wrong with the design of our mount. In fact, flip our over and compare to a Knights or Noveske and the hole placement to the half-moon shaped locking tab is within a few thou. It has to be, as that's the KeyMod Industry Standard Kincel published.
We designed the mount with a small, half moon locking tab and send the fasteners un-staked & dis-assembled for a reason. Proper install requires the locking tab (same feature on all KeyMod Accessories per Kincel's spec) be inserted in the round hole of the next forward KeyMod slot from the desired KeyMod slot and the hole in our mount will line up with the hole in the KeyMod slot in the install location. Then insert the nuts with the "toes of the boot" facing into the narrow portion of the KeyMod slot and tighten. The QD shaft will penetrate our mount and should go into the round hole of the KeyMod slot and lock in.
IMHO - IWC makes top-shelf components, for less cost and we'll take the Pepsi Challenge with anyone.
MOUNT-N-SLOT
The problem is I installed it correctly but I cannot remove the QD at all. I can't even push the button in. If I install the mount without the QD in, no matter how much I push forward on the mount when tightening, it still moves back and is out of alignment. If you look in the hole, you will see a lip from the keymod hole protruding in comparison to the hole in the mount. This is causing the qd either to not be removed, or not being able to insert it. I will take pictures of exactly what I am talking about later today. I believe the issue I am having is that half moon locking tab is too far forward so when I tighten it down the mount pulls back until the tab meets up with the keymod hole but just far enough to be out of alignment. Hard to picture but I will post pics.
Impact Weapons Components is shipping our new KeyMod Bipod MOUNT-N-SLOT. Ours & Noveske's basically do the same thing, place a sling swivel stud in a KeyMod hole, but I think our design is better, and at a better price point.
