Who has good LPKs these days?
In particular, I am looking for kits that don't come with A2 pistol grips, triggers or hammers. But, I will need some complete kits as well.

I got sick of looking and waiting so on my last build I just pieced out individual Colt parts from Specialized Armament, paired it with an ALG trigger for the time being and added some BAD enhanced pins.
Is this a price point discussion or a pick/choose what I want? My personal favorite Colt/ALG:

The total for those is just under $110. For me, I'll add an ALG ACT, Noveske QD end plate and Magpul MOE Trigger guard, which will add right at another $100. For what I want in a base lower parts kit, I can't ask for any thing better/more.
I just put together a lower using a PSA kit and everything went together well. Actually has a decent trigger pull too. However I have not run it with an upper yet so it's still unproven.
Brownells has the parts ala cart so you can buy just what you need.

I'm partial to G&R Tactical and Weapon Outfitters. I've had excellent dealings with both companies.
The most recent LPK I used was from DD, while I don't know the source of all of their parts, everything went together precisely and the trigger is actually decent. Best part of all the cost was more than reasonable.

Don't let the name fool you, best way to build your own lower parts kit.
Whit Oak Armament With ALG QMS or ACT trigger....

LPK's are a constant problem (good ones that is). We hope that Colt will start selling LPK's or just parts in bulk to their distributors (like us) in the near future.

If you can't find LPK's now, you are not looking hard enough. They are in stock in numerous places.
The best LPK around IMO is the Umbrella Corp Minimalist. Pretty sure they use KNS turnedr pins etc. Don't come with FCG.
Midwestpx has ALG bundled kits. Colt kits are stock places. DD kits are in stock. Many other Minamilist type kits are also in stock.
When the Great Gun Panic of 2013 was in full effect this is what I did.
1. ALG triggers (they were pretty available).
2. Battle Arms selectors.
3. Front and rear pins from Brownells and well as small springs and detents.
4. Colt bolt catch.
5. Magpul Enhanced Trigger Guards.
At the end of the day I was into these for about 120.00 but I was always able to complete a project. I also stock up and keep certain parts on hand at all times so I don't have to worry. At the end of the day how many lowers are you going to be building?
Seems like a good option to me.
I bought one of Grant's a few years ago, and recently one from PSA. Although Grant doesn't have the same LPK's in stock there is zero doubt of the quality difference between the two. One PSA detent out out of spec, and the trigger is more crisp with less creep with the G&R. But both go bang everytime. And I'm not a PSA bashing in the least.

http://shop.ironworkstactical.com/Pr...Code=AOI%2DLPK Mix and match as you please. Don't see an option you want? Let him know and he'll put it in and let you know the price difference. Good guy.
I use the Wilson Combat kits
Been running them in my WC 6.8 for 5 years and used them in AR builds, just ordered more today for a new 3 gun build.
Not sure who actually makes them but they work.
