I bought a complete upper. You don't always know what parts the manufacturer uses. If I had built it myself I would take responsibility for buying cheap parts and live with it. I guess I simply bought a cheap upper that was built with cheap parts. Live and learn. I have contacted them regarding a warranty.
I've seen similar on some purposely altered extreme light profile gas blocks. Almost the entire top half of the block had to be opened up like a big sealed pocket that held pressure somewhat. For a worse case scenario type of test. It would take a pretty bad defect for anything else.
That's a pretty impressive failure. I wouldn't have believed it was even possible, but apparently it is.
Extremely lucky. The barrel is a 7" CM barrel of unknown manufacture at a price of 89.99. BCG has no specs for it at a price of $75.00.
In the menu on the left side amid the various gun parts is Jewelry...
Hehehe...to be fair, it is gun related jewelry... :)
That aside, I don't know why people expect good results from cheap AR products. The AR market is pretty mature and when you see anything that is being sold particularly cheap from an "unknown" manufacturer, alarms should be going off...at the very least, expect some sort of failure happening sooner or later as a given. Here's a helpful trilemma chart...
