i agree. if it's an issued weapon and you can't take it apart, get the troy. otherwise, i have noveske plates on all my guns and they're low-pro and cheap.

FWIW, i think a two-point sling is a better way to go.
I've seen a lot of guys take a very unpleasant hit to the gonads when transitioning using a one point. Not to mention when they try to move and shoot with a one point.
The two point allows a very secure "holster" fit for your long gun, and allows a better transition when you have to go to a sidearm.
