Interesting. :)
Looks like they're suing Holder and the ATF for pissing backwards on an approved F1 by citing the 2nd amendment.
(that's as technical as my legal analysis gets)
That has some pretty strong wordin. I wouldn't be surprised if it made it to the SCOTUS with second, fourth, ninth and tenth amendment challenges with this complaint. (I this the co plaint had all four).
I read the complaint. It's a good read. Well laid out argument.
A fell like it's a sizable salvo in the fight against control. May have a greater effect than the heller case.
It will take a long time for it to work through the process.
I have mixed feelings on it. Mainly in the sense of unintended consequences. That and I wonder how much effort the current stamp holders of machine guns would put in to fight it. I know of one individual that has almost 200- 250k invested in machine guns.those guys have money, and my guess is that they don't want to see their investment become null.
But who knows. I can only speculate. I say all of this as person who wants a machine gun. Just can't afford it. Wished I had gotten in when lowers were in the 5-7k range.
I'd be watching the NFA market like a hawk, should something go down someone will know in advance and the prices will reflect that.
