Anyone have an LE6920 SOCOM II without an M4A1 rollmark? Someone is trying to tell me that some were mis-marked as M4 Carbine (SOCOM II with Daniel Defense RIS II).

I would call Colt and verify the serial number. On that rifle the rollmark is the money shot...
Read on another thread (here or TOF) that Colt doesn't have that info as the SOCOM II rifles were done for a sole distributor unlike the SOCOM I which was made available to all distributors. IIRC the uppers went to Daniel Defense to have the RIS rails put on them after they left Colt. What I can't recall is if the SOCOM II's were ever in the Colt catalog like today's SOCOM offering is. It just seems strange to me that limited production SOCOM II rifles made in 2012 are still floating around NIB.
A few months ago CDNN had some available.
EDIT: Still do... http://www.cdnnsports.com/colt-6920-...l#.U5_naCjusTM
I don't know if this is what you're referring to but here's my roll mark.

And it's a SOCOM II rifle? All of the one's I've seen (total of three) came out of Colt boxes marked SOCOM II and had the M4A1 rollmark on the lower. That was a year ago however. Is yours a recent purchase? Just wondering if they did two lots of these rifles.
.
FWIW - I just picked up a couple of SOCOMs at the WM clearance last week and both were marked M4A1 & had Knights Hand Guards. The delivery date was October 2013 and were labeled on the box a "2013 Version".
