Yeah... that ACOG is horrible at contact distance. It slows you down quite a bit.... a second or so... which doesn't sound like much, but an eternity if you need to shoot somebody a few yards away.

I can still crank out softball sized 30rd groups up close doing Table III drills in a pretty good amount of time - I am really comfortable on BAC optics, especially both eyes open - and that difference is minor, but even being relatively quick and totally accustomed to that compact eye relief setup, I'd rather have the quicker setup, even if it means giving up the BDC. It's just that range of 10-25 yards where getting accustomed to that zoom and trying to sort between just occluded snap shooting and actually using the picture through the optic side that's super rough.
