What are your opinions on this weapon manufacturer and your observation of the quality, reliability and functionality of this AR platform. Attachment 27239
The trigger, charging handle, and stock are nice. Everything else sounds like buzzworded up crap, and that handguard looks like it'll get really hot.
You could do better for less.
But have u really done your homework on these rifles
I'm not going to go out and buy that turd to help you justify your purchase. The specs page is full of fluff and no real substance with regard to their own parts. You can buy a complete Noveske rifle for less than BHI's charging for that thing.
Blackheart seems way too expensive for what you get. At least the trigger is good. I hope this isn't another one of those threads were the OP has already purchased the item in question and is looking for vindication. :)
That's kinda how this is smelling.
He does. He posted a pic in the AR pic thread already.
OP: If the gun runs for you, good. Shoot the crap out of it. This forum is tech based and there are very few companies that meet proper standards. This doesn't mean your gun won't shoot, but most here won't bet our lives on them.
Shoots great for me it's built just as well or better than most not to mention my personal upgrades not a single failure yet 5K+ rounds
I never trust my life to a man made machine the potential is still there to fail! I took her overseas. When I was working private security and still do keep it around on my PPO jobs
Not the sandbox but Kosovo working for DynCorp
If it has 5,000 failure free rounds, why are you here seeking justification? What are these "others" that you're comparing to? Write up a nice, long review with some comparison pictures and convince us.
I'm curious to know, if you've already put 5k failure free rounds threw it and you've taken it over seas, then what is the purpose of you asking what this forum thinks of your gun?
I'm just curious of others owners opinions and what's the general talk on them that's all
You're an owner. Throw up some pictures of key areas and lay out your opinion of the thing.
Attachment 27246 this BCG is a great lightweight carrier group, combined with Tubbs spring it increases lockup time tremendously.
Looks more geared to a competition rig. When I start reading "Tubbs" and anything to do with a lightweight carrier group... I'm out.
If that's your gun and you're enjoying it? By all means. It's not my kind of set up though.
Attachment 27247 Surefire Brake helps tremendously with recoil even though 5.56 really don't have too much as it is. The Melonite barrel excels over chrome lined barrels in terms of longevity and accuracy.
Attachment 27248 The GATOR GRIP RAIL SYSTEM is very ergonomic and thought rail space is limited in my opinion there really is no need for that many rails on a friend. The continuous rail is great for Flip up sights and a top mounted light is all that is needed for the job(my opinion). Bottom rail is great for any variety in vertical or angled grips, Depending on what you choose to attach there for the job at hand light, laser and etc. Same goes for the top you can mount a Laser systems comfortably without it interfering with your sights.
Attachment 27249 Of course your optics choice can be numerous things but I follow the line with EoTech and it's magnifiers as I have had great success and results with the combo. I like the 412 model because availability for AA batteries. Holds zero like a champ even if you take it of and put it back on its T mark, no problems with adjusting it back to its original zero.
Attachment 27250Attachment 27251 lower reciever is CNC Billet and has custom tentioning screw to eliminate wobble of the top and bottom receivers. The hard coat black anodized finish is absolutely amazing, holds up to the elements and hard use. The Geissele trigger system is great with very little reset and a crisp, light trigger break and being from all machined parts and not MIM (like the majority of other lower AR parts)helps with durability.
It's another generic ass over priced carbine. Not really sure what else there is to say. The company is is in bed with the IMO failed 2nd gen ar57, which is known to have some pretty horrid qc.
For 2,000+$ I'd get a KAC or LMT and never look back.
And to answer your question 7.62 about Noveske... it's their reputation over some years of top quality stuff and good customer service and outstanding qc. You don't just turn into a Noveske, or KAC, it takes years to do. Starting off the bat, with 2,000$+ guns, which are just a mash of numerous companies products is just head scratching.
IMO this is just another thread trying to justify ones purchase. Why don't people just post up an in depth review of their weapon system, with a bunch of details, experiences etc, rather than say what do you think about this brand, then when people give opinions, get defensive and try to prove how good their purchase is. Seems to be an almost daily ordeal.
Attachment 27252Attachment 27253 the stark pistol grip is also a great feature because it is a complete group that replaces the trigger guard and that's less part you have to deal with, not to mention the storage capacity is quite nice I personally keep an extra bolt and firing pin in there. Now for the tactical link sling swivel attachment I prefer those because they're easy to put on and it locks into the rear plate with no play, plus I can take it off and put it on something else as well and the swivel cup is made of stainless steel.Materials are 6061-T6 aluminum and not some cheap ChiCom crap. Attached to it right now is the MS4 MAGPUL sling which I really like. They got rid of the plastic attach plates and made these stress areas hard coat steel, it as well is a QD attachment sling with locking swivel points so it don't over rotate and bind up on you.
Why are you trying so hard to prove how good your purchase is. Instead of trying to do so, which is just another douchebaggy type thread, get together some details, range report, and spend the time and do a proper review thread, rather than a pointless ask what others think thread, and when you don't get people saying yeaaa they tits, turn around and get defensive about it. If anything, threads like these just further push people away from the things you are trying to hold up on a pedastal.
And comment about saying the same about mine? Mine what? I don't don't own a single factory built AR.
In the end, there is not one serious user part on there. Stark grip... really? Apex rail? I'm honestly surprised they don't have an Ncstar scope or dot included.
IMO, this thread is going to end the same as the other ones. People are going to give opinions, you will get butthurt after a few pages, thread will get locked, and you will go to another forum. For a new member, you are best of devouring the info on the site, before you try to talk others into purchasing what you have etc.
Dude, I'm not trying to flame you but you are missing the point here.
We don't care about the aesthetics of the rifle. These options you are pointing out are exactly that, options.
This is what we/you should be asking about the rifle that you spent $2k on:
What steel is the barrel made from? Is the gas port a proper size for optimal function? Is the barrel HP/MP tested? Is it a true 5.56 chamber?
What is the bolt made of? 158 or 9310? Is the bolt HP/MP tested? individually or batch tested?
What buffer is being used? Carbine, H, H2?
2 Colt 6920's cost less than $2k and all of those questions are answered.
Attachment 27254 And lastly the CTR stock that so many love and use because of the locking mechanism to eliminate wobble and of course Magpuls QC. The LaRue RISR is a great addition if your totally collapsed you can still charge the charging handle without you having to adjust your stock and put it back into its proper notch. Sights are a given, Troy flip up H&K style sights are just great for me cause I run a Kalashnikov as well and it relates well with me using both systems.Attachment 27255Attachment 27256
I can do range reports I just have not put one on here yet. I know my shit is flawless I'm just trying to show people what's on the rifle that's it, you are the one ranting and raving about stuff that I already know. I'm simply trying to show my rifle and get Owners and users opinions on them
We want to see the proof.
Again, Colt 6920, DD V4, LMT, Noveske N4, and BCM BCM4 are all under $1k and have been proven.
Blackheart mentions NOTHING about any testing.
Attachment 27257 u say there is no testing done by them I beg to defer.
I'm not ranting and raving. Just pointing out everything on the rifle, from stock (their non magpul ones), to grip, to rail is crap. It's a bunch of YHM grade stuff bolted on to appeal to uninformed users, and mask the lack of true details/stats to your avg informed user.
I also pointed out these threads NEVER end good. EVER. It ALWAYS results in butthurt. You are just new and havent seen the trend. These same threads happen daily. Like said, rather than try to get others on board with no real info, just wait on posting a thread until you have the details to do a proper review thread.
You probably won't find many, if any BHI gun users here as the majority of users here are pretty serious about AR's and save the gimmicky stuff for TOS.
Btw, if you would have searched BHI you would see a few threads on it filled with mediocre comments, so shoulda known the kind of responses you woulda got.
YHM grade? Not so much my friend
That is a statement not proof.
This is what I want to see......
These are stripped 14.5" Mid Length Standard 11595E barrels with gas ports installed and dimpled for a strong gas block installation.
M4 Feed Ramp Barrel Extension
In developing the USGI M4 carbine as one of the primary weapons for today’s infantry, some modifications were performed to the original M16 platform to enhance the reliability of the shorter barreled carbines. With the shorter carbine gas system and the increased gas port pressure, the carbine cycled faster, and at times the cycle rate could be faster than the magazine would feed ammunition. One of the modifications done to increase reliable feeding included enhancing the angle and the length of the feed ramps. This USGI modification was done to both the barrel extension and the upper receiver, creating a longer and steeper feed ramp. These Mil-Spec M4 feed ramps are part of the original CNC manufacturing process. As a result, the factory machined M4 feed ramps on the receiver are hard coat anodized which adds significant strength to the aluminum. This feature is offered on all BCM barrels.
USGI 1/7 Twist Rate
The USGI 1/7 twist rate of all of the BCM barrels is the preferred twist rate by most professional infantryman. This twist rate has proven very versatile and can effectively run the new heavier 5.56 ammo that is hugely popular with military and private security personal for its’ superior ballistics.
Mil-Spec Barrel Steel (Mil-B-11595E)
BCM barrel steel is Mil-Spec per MIL-B-11595E. This grade (CMV) of steel is a Mil-Spec steel used in the USGI M16 family of rifles; it is stronger and will last longer than the typical barrels offered in the commercial market. The Mil-Spec grade steel gets its’ additional strength and rigidity from an increase in carbon and/or vanadium in the alloy. This will offer increased barrel life and performance through use in all types of extreme environments and temperatures.
Chrome Bore and Chamber
One of the first modifications that were made to the original M16 in the mid 1960’s was the addition of the chrome lined bore and chamber. It is now a world wide standard in the industry for a battle rifle. The chrome bore and chamber is harder than the barrel steel and on the USGI M16/M4 rifles will aid in chambering, extraction, and reliability. It increases velocity, and also resist against fouling and corrosion from extended use in the field. This gives the end user a longer barrel life with less required time in maintenance and cleaning.
Manganese Phosphate Barrel Finish
Barrels are parkerized with the manganese phosphate finish (Mil-Spec A-A-59267). Military specifications also state that the entire barrel surface is phosphate finished to create a porous surface to absorb oil as to resist against corrosion from the elements. BCM barrels are phosphated before installation of front sights. This is a much more extensive assembly operation, but insures that the entire barrel is finished and protected . . .even under the front sight base.
5.56 NATO Chambers
The USGI 5.56 NATO chamber is the best choice for effective deployment, reliability, and compatibility, of higher chamber pressures of military ammo.
Government Barrel Profiles
Duty rifles are built to be carried - day in and day out. The USGI barrel profiles (often referred to as the Government Profile) enable the operator to carry their weapon for longer periods of time and deploy them faster than the heavier commercial H-Barrel counterparts. The government profile barrel is also compatible with the current M203 mounting systems.
HPT / MP Inspected Barrels
Military specifications require that barrels undergo a HPT (High-Pressure Test) load as a part of quality assurance procedures. Commonly referred to as a proof load, the M197 HPT is rated for 70,000 psi. BCM barrels are proof loaded and then MPI (Magnetic Particle Inspected) to detect any possible flaws in the barrels surface. The barrels are MP inspected with both circular and longitudinal magnetic fields per ASTME1444-01 (current Mil-Spec) to assure a high quality finished product.
Anyways. Last comment of mine, as this is just another case of someone trying to show their purchase off and keep in their mind it's "operator grade". When you decide to get serious about AR's, and start taking carbine classes etc, feel free to spend a good amount of time reading threads on this forum. Ir's filled with near endless knowledge and information from a vast array of top sources. We have had and currently have professional armorers in both the private and military realms on here, end users from the special forces to normal infantry, industry reps for many of the most respected companies the the firearms world all in one place. Turn into a sponge and soak it in. Even the professionals here learn daily by reading.
Don't see how I'm just a junior user I have used this weapon overseas and it performed flawlessly and I still do PPO work with this weapon system I wouldn't just bring any POS grade AR to my job where my life is on the line. Do you use your weapons every day as part of your job? Have u used it enough in real world scenarios and in theatre to really test your superior weapon system? I tell you what I will personally call blackheart up and get a list of test done by them and come back with details.[emoji6]
How about pictures of the staking on the bcg, castle nut, feed ramps? The specs list a gas buster. Is it so over gassed that it's necessary?
