They are both great, though I like the look and features of the Mega better.
I have three Mega lowers that have all been flawless.
I cannot comment to the quality of the Mega lowers but my Aero Precision lower has been good to go.
Mega holds strict tolerences of .001, which is why I decided to go with them for SBR. I have no 1st hand info on Aero.
Both make solid receivers, ideally you'd still want to run a case through that lower in the configuration you want to use for real before the SBR/Engrave on it that kills resale anyway.
I don't consider a published but no ISO metrology backed 'we hold to a' tolerance definitively helpful, but both make really pretty stuff that should be very conclusively in spec (which is all that matters for an SBR lower). Pick the prettiest/most practical design and drive on.
I have a trio of Aero Precision lowers, and they work great. Some days I wish I had paid the $30 more to have a trio of MEGA lowers, because I like their atom-design. That's the difference between them for me, the nerdier engraving on the MEGA is all I'd prefer at this point.
Aero makes really, really nice stuff for the price. Mega makes really, really, really nice stuff for a slightly higher price. That's about the only way I can put it. Either will work great, and both are proven companies. The Mega has an extra feature or two (mostly cosmetic), which may be worth the extra dough to you. On the other hand if you just want something cheap that will work an Aero blem is my choice for any budget build.
I have both and the Mega is nicer IMHO. I used my Mega with my BCM 14.5" ELW w/13" KMR upper and they make a nice setup.
