Video is of these 3 rifles in the order below. All ammo was LC XM193 and XM855.
1. 14.5 ELW BCM barreled upper. H buffer and standard carbine spring. With Surefire Socom Mini.
No issues suppressed or unsuppressed. 4 oclock brass without a can. And between 2-3 with. Very smooth. I had about a inch and a half drop at 50 yards with the can on. Using a 4moa dot T1 so take that for what its worth. The mini is louder then the others if you can tell in the video. I was thinking that the mini on 14.5 would be close to the same as the 11.5 with the RC. But the 14.5 with mini is louder.
2. 11.5 LW BCM barreled upper with SLR gas Block. Tubbs flat wire and H Buffer, Surefire Socom 556 RC
So this is where it gets a little more interesting. My goal today was to figure out the gas settings and buffer weights and spring combo with this rifle. Un-suppressed with the Tubbs flat wire and H buffer would run but short stroke on setting 8. Had to have it on 9 to lock back on empty mags. Would still run and cycle the next round. Brass would not hit deflector. 5 oclock position. On setting 6, with a H2 and carbine spring, I would have the same issue. So setting 9 with the Tubbs H1 set up and setting 7 with H2 carbine spring ran just fine. Brass at 4 oclock. Running the Socom 556 RC on there put the brass between 2 and 3 oclock. Lock back on every empty mag. I put a H2 on one of my SBR lowers and the Tubbs and H1 in another. I would do 10 round strings of fire and then swap lowers and go back and forth. Ive come to conclude that the tubbs has More "twang" and is harsher then the H2 carbine spring set up. I did this on all 4 of the SBRs I had out there. And the H2 carbine set up had faster follow up shots on target with less movement. H2 just felt a lot more solid. End of that debate for me. I put over 400 rounds through the rifles just going back and forth. Shot about 800 rounds total today. Another note. I did not notice any real difference between the Socom Rc and the Mini on blowback. Probably because of the adjustable gas block. But the sound is louder on the mini. Obvously. I didnt shoot them right after one another in a video. Sorry about that. With this rifle, I saw one about one inch to 1 and 1/4 at 50 yards drop from the can attached. Roughly.
3. 12.5 BCM Standard upper. H2 and standard Carbine Spring. M4-2000.
No issues suppressed or unsuppressed. 4 oclock without a can. 2-3 oclock with. With the Tubbs and H1 I tried in this rifle it had the most muzzle dip and harsh feeling out of them all. Swapped back the H2 and carbine spring and felt so much better. I also swapped in a H3 buffer with carbine spring and it would still run perfectly without a can. With the can on, it would spit em out right a 3 oclock. You can feel the weight difference in the recoil thump in your shoulder on the H3. I went back to the H2 and called it good. With this 12.5 barrel and the m4-2000 I saw roughly about an 1inch of drop with the can on at 50 yards. Again, 4moa T1. Take it for what its worth.
4. 11.5 BCM BFH upper. Not seen in Video. But in picture. H2 and Carbine spring. Waiting on KAC CQB QDC.
It ran well, as always. Tried the H1 with Tubbs and found same results. Kept the H2 and Carbine and shot about 120 rounds. No issues.
