Paul got huge and Larry got little. Whaattt
Anyone else catch that direct attach keymod handstop at 8:42. Looked kinda like a AFG mixed with a normal handstop. Maybe another BCM gunfighter product?
IINM, that was Fortis handstop.
No its not.Attachment 28768
He seems like a great guy, I'd like to meet him sometime and tell him thanks for a great product (and yet another place I am tempted to spend all of my fun money).
Remarks like these just make it that much harder to go anywhere but BCM for one's gear. Ive always been a big fan of Colt products (and I still have nothing negative to say about em), but BCM has gradually taken over my "gun rack".
Here is another interesting little tidbit about Paul B. and BCM:

After owning an excellent BCM upper for years, having read through multiple BCM threads on this site, and finally watching this interview, there was nothing I could do to stop myself from ordering a 11.5 ELW upper earlier today; fortunately before they went out of stock again.
Very cool. If I could stomach the winter in Wisconsin I would move up and work for him.
Great video thanks for sharing. Just another reason why the majority of my ARs are BCM.
Everybody benefits when a solid man like this can put out an excellent product, make money, and support the 2A community at the same time.
It's a good sign when someone uses the phrase "skunk works" for their development guys.
My respect for BCM grows and grows. Fun interview.
Paul says in the beginning of the interview that BCM makes their own barrels and bolts? I was under the impression that these were sourced out.
I asked a girl in Green Bay one time how they dealt with the winters. She said they all drank very heavily, constantly. This was at 6am.
Thanks for posting! Great video
Briman1001: right on regarding Paul B's 2nd amendment stance. I read where BCM won a regional LEO contract, but once Paul B became aware of the municipality's (I forgot where, precisely) statist, anti-2nd Amendment gun laws, he pulled out and, aside from honoring preexisting warranties etc., refused to have anything to do with the local LEO departments, so long as the laws on the books remained unconstitutional. Things like that mean a great deal to me. Right on, BCM.
Here, here! I try my best to walk the walk, and when someone like Paul stands his ground with his company name behind it, that carries weight.
Btw- I shut down the wood pellet stove in early/mid June this year and started back in about mid September. That's three months without heating my home. I'm betting the ground doesn't thaw next year.
I tell folks that we have two seasons here in Wisconsin - Winter and the 4th of July.
Honestly, I came up here 45 years ago after having lived 22 years in much warmer climates (Georgia, Mississippi, Virginia, Hawaii, and other places - military family) and I learned quickly that you can dress up to tolerate the winter. I cannot undress enough for visiting family in San Antonio in August. :p
Shouldn't this be on facebook or twitter.
I probably shouldn't be, but I'm always a little surprised to hear how small the staff is at at a given manufacturer, and how this company that is turning out a large number of quality products is really a much smaller business than I imagined. When I think "manufacturer," I tend to think of a huge factory with long assembly lines, but that's not how most of the businesses look in this industry. I always appreciate this kind of insight into companies that produce products that I enjoy using.

My same reaction Dave. I was under the impression BCM had a lot more than 30 people on staff.

Would just like to point out that I was right about the BCM handstop
Well, this clears a lot of things up. I thought Larry was Asian, Paul was African American with an eye patch, and it was a tapco hand stop. ;)
You're a long time BCM customer if you can remember when Paul would answer the phone and take your order.
You mean they actually used to answer the phone? I gave up on calling them a long time ago. Their email support is prompt and courteous though and their products are great. My only AR is a BCM and it's fantastic.
It's nice to see the man behind the company. He seems like good people, as we say back home. Thanks for sharing.
I think we just got the answer...
