You lucky sucker! Thanks for the photos though.
I've been trying to figure out where you press or pull the stock to adjust it... Still can't figure it out :(
Paul was generous enough to send me one. It is a fantastic (minimalistic) approach to a stock. Clean lines and well thought out. From what I am hearing from drop tests, it is also one of the strongest (read most rugged) stocks on the market.

Shit I can't wait!
It will be interesting to compare it to the MagPul SL stock, which I feel will be it's direct competition.
I've had the MOE SL stock for a few weeks and it's a great stock for the money. I plan on buying one of the BCM stocks and do my own comparison, selling off the looser.
The BCM star on the heel of the butt pad is a nice touch.

More gun (stock) porn for my friends at M4C :moil:
Nice!
Damnnnnitttt!!
This pics ain't helping my unfortunate lack of patience!
I really want the FDE stock...but I might have to cave, since I can't imagine waiting til December!
I'm a huge BCM fan, but I will say from a pure aesthetics standpoint the MagPul looks better. I'm looking forward to seeing the two reviewed side by side.
I read something where they said the stock was modular and could have interchangeable pieces in the future. Exactly what features of the stock will we be able to change?

The BCM and the SL feel and look very similar to me. I like the sling attachment locations better on the SL. The BCM is limited on the QD positioning by the plastic. The BCM is easier to adjust IMO. They both lockup tight (no rattle at all for either), but the SL is very tight (too tight for my taste). I don't like the adjustment on the side of the SL, it feels awkward to get to (not as natural as just grabbing the stock and moving it).
I said I was going to wait but I'm ordering one next time in stock.

Plouf, I know you just got your hands on the new Magpul MOE SL too, would it be possible to compare and contrast the two? Absolutely love your vids BTW.
I believe an important part of the "rugged" discussion is who releases drop test info. BCM claims it exceeds the mil spec, and uses it as marketing material.
Exceeding the mil spec is a good trait, but it doesn't mean that other stocks don't also do the same. Comparable data is necessary before saying it is "one of the strongest" stocks. A better description, at this point, is that it "exceeds mil spec drop test requirements."
Drop test Schmop test. I break almost everything I touch, and I've never cracked a stock.
If a guy mortars on the toe of the stock, he's retarded and can't be helped no matter what. I'm sure the gunfighter stock is very stout, but that's a lower priority characteristic to me.
I didn't even know that they made a stock.
It is not my place to discuss specifics, but I am aware of a number of popular stocks that take beating after beating over the mil spec test without problems.
My point is not that the BCM stock isn't rugged, I just think without sufficient supporting data it's a weak marketing point to call it "one of the strongest."
It's also hideous, but that's another discussion entirely. ;)
Grant, what color is BCM using for the cerakote?
They call it dark bronze. Pictures do NOT do it justice.

I've been trying but can't find an answer: does the stock limit rotation of a QD swivel so that it can only face down?
Yes on limiting it.
The BCMGUNFIGHTER™ Stock Assembly features:
The strongest light weight polymer stock for your mil-spec receiver extension.
· New patent pending latch reinvents the stocks interface with a mil-spec receiver extension providing user with superior strength when dropped or mortaring malfunction clearance drills.
· Snag free design. No sharp edges prevent tangling of rifle with shooters sling, molle gear, or other kit.
· Modular VBOST (Vehicle Borne Operations Sling Tab) – This tab interfaces with the shooters riggers band or bungee to secure the shooters sling against the stock when carbine is not in use. Most common application when operating inside a vehicle.
· 2 different types of ambidextrous sling mounting options including QD swivel sockets.
· Integrated color matched rubber butt pad for secure placement in shoulders along with increased durability.
· Simple modular design. 5 parts and 1 screw allow for modular adaption of future stock options and configurations.
· Available in Black, Flat Dark Earth, Foliage Green, and Wolf Gray.

How does that affect function Grant? I'm used to my sling coming off the back of my stock, not facing down at a 90 degree.
Thank you sir.
Question for the reviewers (MM, Plouffe, Grant, etc...):
What are the dimensions of the stock (specifically length)?
Is the buttpad removable?
I've searched but haven't seen any info on this. I appreciate your time in answering this!
I would like to see an updated version of this with the new magpul & bcm stocks included.
