Just picked up this Colt CQBP from the colt custom shop! I must say I am impressed and they installed my 10-8 sights for me! Thinking about sticking some simmonich gunner grips on?

10-8's are much better than the outdated looking sights that come with the gun.
If you insist on changing the grips, you'll need new screws or drill out your grips.
Damn forgot about the larger screws? Yeah 10-8 or warrens is about all I run.
Wicked! I like the grips and screws..
Ah yeah, I wish I could find one of these hens teeth. Nice 1911.
Very nice addition! Digging the 10-8 sights. I have a pair of Gunner grips made by VZ that I like a lot.
I am sure as one can be doing a web search. Everything I find in a search says MIL-TAC. MIL-TAC probably doesn't offer it to the public because Colt wanted something exclusive. Besides, if you look at pics of the grips you will see different ones being used as far as color.
MIL-TAC also makes the Colt SCG grips and VZ makes a very similar set. Buy the VZs and be happy. It doesn't matter who makes them unless you have OCD.

Very nice pistol.
I picked up one of the non custom shop guns and it is easily my favorite 1911( have owned probably 20 over the years) they are built right. I actually prefer it to several custom builds I have owned as well as les baers. While I overpayed a bit at 1700 I think it is still a good gun for the money
They are nice 1911s. I picked one up during the summer. I haven`t got to the range with it yet. Prices are starting to get realistic.
Is anybody making holsters for them yet?
G-Code makes a SOC for this
I ordered a raven concealment but with x300u I imagine most holsters with light attached will work.
My local guy ritchie gun leather used my pistol ( with no light attached ) as a pattern so should be able to provide holsters for it to others. First class service and quality
Just seeing this now and couldn't stop myself from repling... DAM That thing is Beautiful!
As in the picture you have here, I would NOT change a Thing!
Just Beautiful, Congrads.!
duece71 says "Ah yeah, I wish I could find one of these hens teeth. Nice 1911."
LMAO thanks duece71, referring it to "looking for hens teeth" I don't care Who you are, that IS some FUNNY sh!t right there...
Peace Jeff
Very Nice. I have had this on order for sometime with my dealer..
Visited my dealer Monday and new m45a1 was in the case listed at $1650. This is the later m45a1 marked model
Well, it looks like I found a hens tooth.....Attachment 29710
I just heard of a dealer that has a bunch of these. If you're looking for one let me know and I'll get the info. A friend on another forum just bought one and he got to choose/pic through a bunch of them..
Such a good looking gun, congrats mysak.
Duece, glad you were able to pick one up, enjoy it.
I shot mine yesterday, 200 rounds of reloads. No jams at all and all manner of magazines were used....WC CMC Checkmate etc....
Didn't really notice any "soft" shooting, my reloads are towards the upper end of the Hornady manual load chart. Its a nice gun, if you like Colt 1911s and if you can find one, go for it. Mine is an "M45A1" marked version so I will definitely shoot it. Now for a holster.........
OP, sorry to sort of hijack, on the same subject anyway :D
Load was the Hornady 230gr XTP JHP over 6.7gr of Power Pistol with either a CCI 300 or WLP primer. Not sure on speed, no chrono....yet.
