Some polymer mags seem to have bad word-of-mouth right off the bat. One example that comes to mind is the HERA Arms mag. The Gen 1's are on clearance for $4.99 right now.

Man. A thread in 2014 about someone waffling on whether or not $9 is too high for a 30 round Pmag.
Life is good!
Yep, times are good. Things have changed a lot from a year ago. A month before sandy hook I bought a couple of gen 1 pmags for around $16. I thought that price was reasonable. Compared to todays prices, $16 is way too much.
I have a bunch of pmags. With prices like what they are I thought about adding a little more variety to my stockpile. Chances are I am going to order some Troy this month, pmag next month and nhmtg in January.
I just do not see prices going very much lower than they currently are. Black friday is just around the corner. We might see pmags drop to the $7 range. If they do, I am going to grab a bunch of them.
This is probably the best you are going to do.

Thanks.
Buffer Tech has them for $10.95.

I'm not willing to give *roy any more money, not after the crap they pulled. I'd rather pay another couple bucks a mag for PMAGs all day long. Or good USGI or Lancer.
That's a great deal ^. Buffer Tech is good to go, I've ordered from them several times and know others that have as well. That is a great price for excellent USGI mags (and with magpul followers!)
Is it ever. Not long ago I remember an online retailer boasting loudly about their "asshole proof" PMAGs for $35, under the theory that $35 was a good price, but not so low that people would just buy in quantity and flip. And then there were the Gunbroker auctions selling at $90-$100 per mag for a time in Jan 2013. Holy shit, so retarded.
I guess am I the only person who had bad experiences with Troy "battlemag" magazines?
I have owned and used a few: They all have the same problem: the internal plastic surface is too "sticky" to allow rounds to rise-up. when full of 20+ rounds it doesn't allow the rounds to push-up with enough pressure to keep feeding. This happened on several Troy mags I tried, and the problem is more pronounced with Steel cased ammo than with brass (eg Wolf ammo).
Never had the same problem with Pmags.
