I would lose the bipod and shoot off of bags if you don't have a way to load the bipod. Bags are much more stable from my experience.

What kind of accuracy do you guys expect with irons?
Haha, just been on the phone to a mate, and his suggestion, try a bag !!
Though, I did nail a strip of wood along the front of the bench so I could load it up ok, and the bipod is fitted via a 'arms' adaptor direct to the rail, so nice and solid :)

Pete, if you're a 1/2 MOA shooter with a bolt gun, and you're shooting 12+" groups at 100, you've got a serious equipment issue. The first thing I'd do is pop that scope and bipod off. The next thing I'd do is shoot it with irons at 25 yards. If you're still shooting a 4+" group at 25 with irons, you need to send that gun back to wherever it came from. From 25, move it out to 50, and then to 100. I agree with the folks who prefer bag over a bipod, but even a bipod is not going to be the cause of a 12 MOA gun. Either the gun itself is crappy (not my guess), or you have a glaring issue with your scope/ scope mount system (far more likely).
Any indication that the rounds are keyhole'ing ?
The scope/mount, came straight off my 338, as I had doubts about the scope I had on it before, and went back on the 338, re-zero'd, and shot at 600m with no issues.
The ss109 ammo that was doing 12"+ is known to shoot 1.5" on most other guns, so it's pretty obvious I have a problem with the gun, thus me starting this thread. But, I can't see anything that could/would cause this, the crown is ok, headspaces fine, (had to do so to pass the uk proof test), barrel nut is tight, all bolt lugs engage correctly, with mod, without mod etc. I've run out of ideas. I've emailed NEA to tell them I want a replacement upper as this is rubbish, just waiting for a reply :/

Nope, going through straight at 200m, all weights from 35-90gr. (Might as well find it's limits) though the 90's were possibly starting to yaw, but as to be expected really.

If you have a flash hider or brake, remove it (if you can) and try 100m again and see what your groups are. 12" groups would be unacceptable to me.
Yep, took that off too. :(
