I' like to se .38 Super also as I reload, and can get a bit more performance out of it than a 9MM.
Funny nobody is complaining about the lack of front slide serrations.
I like the looks of it, I'll be checking one out when I get home.

I hate the look of any front serrations on a 1911. They, at least to my eye, clutter up the clean, classic lines of the pistol, and I don't see a need for them on a pistol equipped with the GI spring/plug/guide rod setup. I guess I just gave my age away, lol.

Me too. I was gonna make my next 1911 purchase the Wiley Clapp CCO, Colt, as I already have the Commander version, but I will be able to buy the Ruger for about half the money of the Clapp. Clapp later!

LW commander types are one of my all time favorite pistol configurations. I will have to avoid this Ruger, lest one follow me home. I already have a shelf full of this type, and certainly don't need another!
After readng this thread, I had to go open the safe and grope a couple of LW commanders, just to calm my nerves.:o
