I just learned of the Sandman today when I met and spoke with a member of the company. They're made by some of the founding members of Silencerco, so they know what they're doing. They've created a new mounting system that seems solid. I was told that one of the big focuses was to reduce sound at the shooters ear. A lot of companies are focused on decibel level at the muzzle which can result in it being louder at the ejection port, where it really matters. The Sandman cans are a little louder at the muzzle, but they're quieter at the ejection port. I was told that was one of the big focus points on building a new model.
