Not sure how you arrived at that conclusion. The SIONICS NP3 carrier group is Carpenter 158, shot-peened, heat treated, HP/MPI tested, 8620 carrier, with correct stakings. If you were to purchase a Colt, BCM or other known BCG and then send it to ROBAR for NP3, it would cost you about 310.00 for the package.
Young Mfg. does hard chrome, not NP3 to my knowledge.
