If you compare operation of a properly ported, weighted and sprung A5 to that of the same carbine type, some things can be noticed. The width of the band of preferred operation can be wider with an A5.
So what does that mean? For many reasons it is a more forgiving system. The result is that when properly done, an A5 can operate well in the areas that may not be so well with a carbine type action system when both are properly done. The extra flexibility it can provide may make the difference if the system functions or not.
