Cool piece of history. Great find.
$189..........
Now here's the real question, are you going to stake the key or leave it alone?;)

Anyone know when Colt changed from the slab side to what is now standard? Great looking rifle by the way. I've got one similar, never fired. Had the box and everything until my apartment got flooded. Now it sits in the back of the safe.
I am sure that someone will come along with the exact year, but I have a Colt HBAR that was bought in 1986 that is slab side.
-What I am seeing with Colt is that just about anything goes. So it would not suprise me if that even after going with the A2 lower that there are still ever once and a while a batch of slab side that went out.
I would do a piston conversion on it! :p
I want one like that.
Don't make me spank you. :p
Thanks for the comments guys, it is a beautiful piece. I shouldn't have gotten rid of the first one I had, this one more than makes up for it.
The Colt 3x scope, while authentic, really blows. Optics have come such a long way in 40 years.
An ACOG, it ain't..........
Nice! Congratulations man!
awesome rifle, thanks for posting pics.
I never noticed the rear most roll pin on an SP1 lower before. What function is it serving?
That is truly a classic. Congratulations.
