I do not miss the AWB one bit.
Had Adam Lanza gone crazy 2 years earlier we would have this shit being produced right now
That is a full factory model, including the barrel shroud. Living in New Jersey, AR Pistols are basically verboten due to our convoluted requirements for legality, but I've seen a few of these over the years, as they reportedly slid under the maximum weight requirement.
Who woulda thought ban era atrocities would become collectible. I sold my crap the day after the ban sunsetted.
I have an STI perfect 10 I'd be willing to trade for that.
Someone buy that thing, get an SBR stamp, put a stock on it, and then take it to a class. Just for the comic value of the instructor's face when you whip it out.
That is the Olympic Arms OA97 pistol. It is from the Clinton ban era. The holes were drilled to shed weight and avoid it being classified as an "assault pistol". In addition to certain features, the Clinton ban had a weight stipulation, over which an item was an assault pistol.
You know, I have threatened that if I ever hit the lottery that I would do crazy shit like that, along with showing up to a class with a Barrett M82 CQB(Or M107 CQB if they make one) with a custom chest rig to carry the mags, and an Eotech or something like that, and planning dumb just to see what they would do. Though come to think of it, if I ever hit the lottery I might set up of those beasts up for that just to punish those assholes who insist on running obnoxious brakes in classes. Turnabout is fair play after all.
