EraTac ultralight is 5.2oz and is very nicely designed/machined. The Geissele would have been my choice were it available two months ago and I'm very excited for its release. The EraTac ultralight is excellent in its own right as well.

Can anybody direct me to links of all of the LaRue failures. I've shot countless 556/308 rounds with 7.1oz LT104s and never experienced a hint of issues with mine. Always stay rock solid with perfect RTZ after countless removals.
No I've never dropped one out of helicopter.
You can just google around, but recoil had performed a test in their March issue that had an almost exact outcome to ours.
Larue return to zero was poor compared to the other QDC options, out of 8 manufactures it placed 6th in return to zero. Pendulum impact testing had it place 7th out of 8.
The only two mounts that were worst over all was a burris and ADM (an almost virtual tie, but just barely beat them).
It all comes down to the way it mounts on the receiver, from an engineering perspective it is terrible.
Here's the link but you can't read the entire article unless you subscribe to the site.
