I do. I have an old USGI Remington Rand mix-master 1911A1 that's boringly reliable and I shoot it well...small GI sights and all. It's my winter time EDC. I use either Colt factory 7 round mags, 7 round Mecgar mags, or flush fit CMC 8rd. Power mags, and it's never given me any trouble. About every three years, I replace the recoil spring with a new Wolff 16lb spring, change the firing pin spring, and check extractor tension. I am thinking about retiring it in a few weeks when my tax-refund arrives and going with a new Springfield Mil-spec, or something similar, with easier to see sights. My eyes are not getting any younger.
