Bad luck with Trijicon or par for the course?

For the life of me I just can't imagine that anyone, at this point in the game, would used something like 271 on such a small screw assembly, let alone anything firearms related, really (I think that topic has been covered extensively on this site). I guess I just want to give them the benefit of the doubt but sometimes it makes me wonder at the same time. Like I said, best of luck getting this resolved and hopefully you can get this taken care of in a more timely manner than you've previously had to deal with. I also agree that sometimes it's so much easier to fix it yourself that have to deal with a CS base and automated phone menu's.

I stripped the screws on my acog and a helicoil backed out with only a dab of blue locktite. I definitely question Trijicons qc as of lately.

Have you got your scalarworks mount yet? They strongly recommend 8 inch pounds of torque on there screws...

You should avoid using threadlocking compound on helicoil inserts, or else the screw grips the insert and comes right out.

Torque to an appropriate value and the screw won't back out of a helicoil, so threadlocker isn't needed anyways.

Hmmm. Yeah, it kinda sucks when people do not reply to your emails.
