I have a 14.5" Bushwhacker that was so over gassed that it took a 9mm buffer to calm it down. Works great now. Whatever it takes.

Most likely yes. Getting heavier buffer like h2 and stronger spring like springco red will absolutely decrease felt recoil. Myself I prefer to have rifle to recoil with authority plus having at least h1 and red coded springco for ultimate reliability and of course having quality BCG. Over rifle thats flat shooter like 14.5 middy or 16" middy with tiny gas port.

I picked up my spring from springco .
Also you might want to try the spring with your current h1 buffer .
It is about half the price of a H2 buffer and might be all you need.
On my sbr a springco " red" extra power spring + H2 buffer = bolt failed to lock back on the last round.
The springco red extra power spring with H1 buffer was perfect.
Oh and getting red springco and h2 might be over shooting it for middy.
I think blue+h2 or red+h1 would be more appropriate or perhaps get h3 and switch weight around with your carbine buffer to be able to make h1 and h2.

Questionable item exist on ebay all of time. A buffer is not thing you would want to buy from fly by night no name china gun parts knockoff maker.
Why? Let say the roll pin is made poorly and out of spec dimension-wise.

The rubber on rear of buffer could be made poorly and out of spec resulting back of gas key slamming into lower. Lower could be seriously damaged as for gas key for it could be sheared off. Nothing good about that.
Roll pin could break and have weights fall out in middle of shooting.
Resulting in KA-F[CENSORED]-BOOM due to early unlock and case rupture due to massively decreased interia.
Or roll pin being undersized and walked. Resulting the pin scraping inside of the buffer tube and slow down action cycling, potentially cause malfunction.
