shrockster,
If you like the HK type sights go for it. The baby Jesus has cried before and likely will again. :D
I run them on my 9mm SBR and love them. This is an iron sight only gun.
IMO they look a bit odd when run on a rifle with other optics.
The different apertures make for a sight picture that can suit anyone's needs.
Here they are on mine....

Another question that may or may not be related: I have a bushy m4 flattop version the only thing that I have against it now is that it has a 14.5" barrel with a phantom permanently mounted is there any way to remove the flash suppressor with out cutting the barrel:confused:? any help will be much appreciated.

That really depends on how it's mounted. There are a lot of "How To" posts on the subject, or someone such as ADCO Firearms could remove it.
Question is, is it worth the effort? Unless you just want to go through all that for a 14.5 barrel, but I personally wouldn't.
Your SBR's require ATF approval to take across state lines. Your 14.5 with a perm attached Phantom does not.
I bought a 14.5 LMT barrel with a perm attached Phantom for just that reason.
If I want to travel with an AR, that one can go with me without hassles.
My real SBR's are 10.5" 5.56 and 6" 9mm barreled AR's.
While I also wanted a 14.5, I couldn't justify the extra cost to SBR when I was using a Phantom anyway.
Just my humble opinion.

Thank you for that piece of advice I never thought of that aspect, interstate transport that is.
