Failure2Stop, do you consider the QDC cans equal to the reliability of the NT4? Or is it too soon to tell? What are the advantages of the QDC over the NT4 or vice versa?

I would expect surefire or Knights to get the contract. I wonder if they will go with the minis/cqb configurations or their full size brothers.
I would also like to know if F2S thinks the QDCs live up to the NT4 legacy.
Doesn't the NT4 attach to a standard A2? Does Surefire make anything that doesn't require a new muzzle device? Based on F2S posts re the durability of the NT4 and the fact that it would not require a trip to an armorer for muzzle device changes one would think the NT4 has the advantage. But then, because it's logical I'm sure some other brand will get the contract :)
No, the NT4 needs its own muzzle device; the KAC QD Comp does look an A2, but is not an A2.

I would like to see them adopt either the NT4, the QDC or one Surefire. Those are the best suppressors on the market today as far as mount and durability go.
Something's they got right the first time and just don't need fixing, the NT4 is an example.
I too am curious how the QDC stacks up against the NT4 durability wise, as I'm going to buy one in the near future.

The inside of the QDCs is very similar to the NT4, and what I have seen shows at least similar levels of durability.
Part of my NT4 preference is the simplicity and security of the gate latch with retainer ring attachment method. It's simply not going to come off once it's installed correctly unless you really want it to.
It's not that the QDC isn't as good, it's just that the NT4 is more grunt-proof in that regard. Just like the old saying; put a Marine in a locked room with three bowling balls for a day, and when you come back one will be broken, one will be lost, and one will be pregnant.
Anyway, I don't mean to haunt this thread, will back off so others can freely express their thoughts without an industry shill hawking wares.
To me id be happy with any brand that is well made.
Be it qd or welded to the rifle, ala integral

Both great cans. But the modularity of the Surge and both of them having removable end caps, would make them a no-go for military issue in my mind. And I say that as I ponder a Surge purchase for 2017.
Whatever description KAC is currently using for the NT4 on their website, needs to be scrapped and replaced with this one!
