Buying them out might be a hell of an investment.
What happened? Why are they going out?
Closing and going out of business are not always the same thing.
As a small business owner I can say sometimes you’re just done. You may have made what you needed to, had a good run of it.
It is a soft market right now. It might just have not been worth it anymore. They were likely running a business on already slim margins.
Dang, I hate to see them go. They usually had real solid pricing on Checkmate M1A magazines. I too had received great service from them in the past.
Welp.
As with most of you, I had positive interactions with them over the last decade or so and they offered some of the best prices on NHMTG/Okay USGI mags and Checkmate Ind. USGI (M14) mags.
Perhaps the "Trump slump" got them or they're looking towards the future expecting a new magazine ban whenever the next DNC operative is in office. Kind of hard to stay in business if the vast majority of the products you peddle are ruled illegal with the stroke of a pen.
Everyone should be stocking up on 30+ round magazines now, while the prices are low. Fair warning.
I too bought most of my stash of NMHTG magazines from 44Mag and always had a solid experience.
I am sorry to see them go as well.
For those of you who purchased NMHTG/OKAY from them, what is your new best source?
The two main sources that I have purchased my USGI mags from was 44mag.com and Botach.
I've never had an issue with Botach over years of business with them.

Got my recent order of Magpul Gen 3 window mags from 44Mag yesterday. Very fast shipping and great prices. Nice they are maintaining their excellent service to the end.
There should be a memorial built to these guys! Having lived through several shortages, I found 44Mag to be one of the most reliable sources of full and state controlled capacity mags and at some of the best prices for AR15, Glocks, and many others. Magazine bans, AWBs, political scares, economic crashes—they still delivered for gun owners to keep those semiautos fed. Well done folks! And thank you.
