Just keep the power on and the water running at all costs and as long as we don't catch the damn thing (which is unlikely in our line of work) my wife and I will survive it.

If the lights go out and the water doesn't come out of the spigot we're screwed as a nation. I personally feel that the PRIMARY mission of any National Guard call-ups should be those two vital elements of infrastructure, enforcing shit should come further down the list of priorities.

My wife and I went to Walmart at 0200 yesterday morning. I figured less people, less chance of catching something and a better chance of finding stuff on the shelves.

Bread isle was empty, meat was entirely gone outside of some pork ribs, the TP was entirely gone. One of the stock guys told us about how they're planning on closing at night to give them a chance to restock. He said people were whole cases of frozen pizzas off of his pallet before he could even put it on the shelf.

I understand closing to restock the shelves. But that's probably going to lead to a bunch of people waiting together then rushing to get what they need when they open the doors. So it'll be like Black Friday but instead of getting an elbow, you get an elbow and potentially a virus. No thanks.

England is considering a 4-month quarantine for the elderly. They haven't actually done it yet but I wouldn't be surprised if they did.

This is a life-or-death situation in the minds of the idiot sheeple out there. It ain't Black Friday where you don't get that $300 large screen TV. Someone's gonna get shot before too long, mark my words. Then it will require armed security, wanding people to prevent firearms or knives from being brought into the store, etc. The next logical criminal/sheeple step will be to rob sheep as they leave, having seen exactly what they loaded in their vehicles once out of the store.

Hand sanitizer (the consumer type) didn't exist 20 years ago and everyone got by without it.

20 years ago, nobody had this product on their desk, by the coffee pot, next to the office copy machine, in women's purses, in their automobile, etc.

Now everyone has to have it everywhere they go.

Guy I used to work with in the late 90s was a germaphobe and had sanitizer everywhere. Car, desk, locker, ...etc .

Not sure if you heard but there is this virus going around, some are calling it the Coronavirus (like the beer). It’s pretty contagious and hand sanitizer can kill it so hand sanitizer is a valuable thing to have when you can’t wash your hands.

Not so and so many people believe it will.

Its a virus. Hand sanitizer kills bacteria.

The paper I read on hand sanitizer killing a virus was that it took 5 minutes of full wet saturation... you aint doing that with a little squirt of purel. All hand sanitizer does to a virus is to move it around.

Better to make up a 10:1 water:bleach solution which WILL kill it instantly but you will stink of bleach.
