Sounds much like what the feel gooders voted for here in CA. Let me know if you guys want to learn about magazine locks and useless accessories to make your rifles look less scary but function the same.

That's because they're essentially the same bill, likely with many of the same Authors. The article in he OP mentions that Hank Johnson's house bill (HB 5717) is the house counterpart to Warren's senate bill.

And pretty much all of these bills (state and federal) are written for legislators staff by the same group of people: Everytown for Gun Safety.

That's the deal these folks make with Bloomberg - if you take Everytown money, you agree to push the bills they write for you.
