The Branch Davidians did have a FFL last time I checked. That was a major source of their revenue selling at gun shows. That is why the ATF went after him for "illegal conversions" and not "unlicensed dealer."

No they did not. They did have one member who legally owned an M2 but had left and taken it with him.

If you enjoyed this series, this album about Waco is absolutely incredible.

According to Kopel, they sold guns through a licensed shop. He also mentions a licensed manufactured getting raided anyway.

I knew a couple Tx based FFLs who said they saw them at a few gunshows and they were doing 4473s and background checks.

Even before the fire had stopped burning, the ATF ran their ATF flag up the Davidians flag pole. That tells you all you need to know about the ATF and what happened there.

Well then those FFLs lied to you. There were no background checks at the time. Brady did not go into effect till 1994 (eta fixed), and Texas does not have a background check system.

Now I really did see them at shows, they sold most gimmicks and MREs.

Matters Not, The Federal Govt through various agencies murdered the Branch Davidians to show America that they were willing to do so,

What illegal did they find after the fire? That's right none, zero, nada, and there was an ATF undercover agent living at the farm next door who was known to be a undercover who had a standing invitation to come over and target practice any time. One pretext for the raid was that they were selling dummy grenades at gun shows and were suspected of "activating" some but gee none were found afterwards. Funny how that fire burned up all those machine guns but none of those "activated" dummy grenades went off.
