Why SW MP15 use carbine buffer weight instead of H buffer
I have a SW MP15x. I've noticed that MP15 series is rather expensive- however from what I have read in these forums, SW is trying to play catch up in the areas of mil spec and features on the "chart". In fact I think that there are recent reports that newer models are getting the "parkerized" treatment under the front sights...
The question I have is that a H-buffer is something that is easier to upgrade for the factory- why are they not putting these buffers in their rifles? Given the cost of an MP15 I would think they would...
1. cost?
2. carbine weight allows for a greater range of ammo?
what am I missing?
