mtk, Stag uses AMBI barrel extensions on their builds... ;)
The bolt is identical to its Right Handed cousin...;)
That makes only two parts that are non- standard. :D
Stay safe.

My lefty bolt is different than my standard one. There have been some people who have had success with a barrel with the standard extension although Stag recommends against it.
I looked at that site also, the bolt carriers are different, they have two types of bolts listed; the left runs $20.00 USD more than the other bolt. Anyone know why it costs more?
Something that did strick me as strange was the brass deflector; the weapon is built to for left handed shooters.......why do they need a brass deflector?
Something else for the Stag owners; When closing the ejection port cover, have you ever released the bolt?
Supposedly they were placed on the right handed weapon to keep the brass out of the left handed shooters face, at least that's the scuttlebutt that they told us in 84.
IF that is true, and the Stag is designed as a lefty from the ground up for specifically for left handers...I can't think of a reason for the deflector.
Im sure if you practice any weak handed shooting you will appreciate it.
I shoot long guns left handed. I have 2 Stag Lefties. They have been as dependable as others I have had after staking etc.
I opted for the Left hand Stag strickly for safety. Anytime I can keep an ejection port away from my face, I will do it. My face and eye sight is worth it. I can handle a right hand M4 or any rifle for that fact but I go with a left hand action when available for safety.
Just my opinion.
If they were placed on the right handed rifle to prevent brass in a lefties face why wouldn't they put one on a lefty rifle to keep brass out of a right handed shooters face? Every time I go shooting someone right handed wants to shoot my rifle. Also I like to practice weak hand shooting around barriers and other drills so that is another good reason like axisofignorance already said.
