Noveske has 8 of his low profile receiver end plates with the QD sling mount left in stock. These are nice.
I have to ask the noob question. I have the MagPul CTR that I am going to use on my build. I am thinking of mounting the sling to the stock at the mount point.
I will let a picture do my talking: (where the paracord is looped through)

Advantage/disadvantage to using that set up? I have never done it before, but I am sure somebody here is set up this way and has run their rifle.
My BM A2M4 has the sling attached to the bottom rear of the stock. I guess that is similar, but since the CTR has a higher point for the swivel mount it may feel different. As I said noob question.
Kaiser, you mean like this?

Yes, thanks Rob.
I prefer B to C using a Daniel Defense Quick Detach Rail Mount (or the integral QD cup on the Omega Rail) for B, and currently a magpul ASAP for C (although any plate adapter would work). I like this confuguration because it gives you quick, easy transitions to the support side. It also keeps the rifle much more stable than a single point sling. I find that during building clearing or other CQB type applications, being able to quickly transition is a must.
Rob with your TD Stubbie do you use that more as a hand stop or do you actually use it as a VG?
Everyone this has been a great thread with lots of new info. Its great to hear about some of the subtleties that would take alot of time learning the hard way or simply go unnoticed and this kind of info really helps. Thanks!
I ran B to C at the PR/EAG class I was at 10 days ago. My B is actually not at the very front of the receiver, but a couple of rail grooves forward of the receiver using a DD rail mounted QR. For the C I used the DD QR end plate and then used a MASH hook on the Vickers to actually attach to the QR swivel (to kind of approximate the ASAP). Worked well for me. Once adjusted it hung well and I did not have the sling in my face ;-) nor in my way on the support side. When laying the weapon down magazine facing left the sling also traps the weapon against the body to help steady it when "hanging".
