Will the Milspec Reciever Extension (Buffer Tube) 6 position work in the Magpul CTR (Commercial) Stock?
It says in the Bravo Co. ad that it'll work in the CTR (Milspec), but does not specifically mention the Commercial version.
Thanks.

The commercial stock will be very loose on a milspec receiver extension. It may fit, but it will not be very stable.
The milspec extensions are smaller in diameter than the commercial versions.
If you have a mil-spec RE, you should use a stock for a mil-spec RE.
If you have a commercial RE, you should a.) get a mil-spec RE and stock or b.) get a commercial stock.
As stated yes it will fit, but it will be sloppy. I recommend the MILSPEC tube if possible. If not, at least get the proper combination.
Are there better MILSPEC tubes? Or at least ones to avoid? Is it better to get a tube/stock combo or kit from the same company?
If you can find a Mil-Spec tube; VLTOR, LMT, and CMT are nice.

I have seen the VLTOR complete kits (except in foliage green) and BCM receiver extension kits in stock. Just curious if there is a quality difference in the actual extension, I know the stocks are a personal preference thing.
what is the advantage of "mil-spec" over commercial. I know they are different but what makes one better?
