When did Bushmaster start adding M4 feedramps to their uppers? Is this some type of build gun that PK is doing? Does anyone know if RR HP/MPI inspects their BCG's?
Mine has what Id cal 'extended' ramps, but IIRC Bushmaster calls them M4 ramps
Bushmaster has offered their "M2" extended ramp on select-select fire, gov/LE, and special runs for years. More recently, more have been seen in normal production.
Per RR, they don't HP/MPI their bolts or barrels. I don't recall if they batch test or test the material, though.
The Bushy I bought 2 months ago has ramps on the reciever. The woman at the local gun shop said she had never seen m4 feed ramps of any kind nor had she heard of them after years of building AR's!
why would they not have them? cost?
They've been standard for the last year or two. Nothing new here.
My Bushmaster, that I picked up 8 months ago, had the M4 feed ramps, in both the barrel and reciever as well. I have since looked at three other Bushmasters up to 5 years old and they too have the M4 feed ramps.

I have a feeling it has to do with the same issues that results in abnormal offerings from time to time from everybody. Parts being short and a high demand for guns is probably resulting in whatever extra parts allocated for a specific run are rolled over into production of their "standard" offerings.
Then again, maybe somebody over at BM read the TDP finally.
That's because they pull the item off the site if it's out of stock. Information can always be found at the MFR's site, which is usually the better place to get info for a specific product. Of course, if you're just looking for their retail prices, then I understand your frustration, but you're out of luck.
Back in stock guys
The tushmaster I bought in late 06 has M4 ramped receiver and carbine barrel extension. No one seemed to believe it back then, and I didn't see one again until late last year, now alot of the ones I have seen locally have them. I kinda doubt it anything more than using leftover parts from specialized runs.
that didn't last long. anyone get one?
Both uppers have the M4 feedramps in the barrel extension and receiver. Purchased the first in Nov-08 and the second in Feb-09.
It was the lightweight. I see they are selling on GB for 750ish and they were 500.
i can check my bushy as i bought mine in jan 08 what am i looking for? i dont know what feed ramps look like.
If you open and lock the bolt to the rear and look in the ejection port you can see the barrel extension, which the bolt locks into. On the lower edge of it there are 2 shallow grooves that are feed ramps, all ar15s have these. However there is a carbine model of the receiver extension where the angle of the grooves are steeper and require corresponding ramps to be milled into the upper receiver, this is then know as M4 feed ramps.
