I might pick up a young mfg BCG, with the markups in the secondary market they are almost the same price.
$300 is a load of cash for a BCG. I bought one because I had the money and needed a BCG.
Things to remember:
Quality FA BCG- $130 (BCM's are now ~$160)
Robar NP3 coating- ~$130
$260 with no tax or shipping added.
They also include a coated hammer. I honestly could do without the coated hammer.
All in all, I believe the price is where it should be. Robar usually has a 6-8 week wait for NP3 so this is very convenient.
Grant from G&R recently mentioned that FZ gets their Bolts and Carriers from a quality manufacturer.
My carrier is standard carbon steel but I went with a chrome plated bolt. So far it's lots easier to clean, but I'm not seeing any other benefits past that.
