Does anyone have any experience on back order time for the Geissele SSA trigger?
Thanks!
I waited six months for one from ADCO.
After six months I had Bill Springfield do my trigger and cancelled my SSA order.
YMMV,

Damn, No shit.
You might have a better shot just scouring the EE threads here and other sites.
Also check www.riverofguns.com
I found one after looking for two days.
Admittedly, I wasn't trying that hard.
For a while ADCO had them exclusively, so I didn't look for them elsewhere. Once I did, my price at ADCO ($145) was better than elsewhere, so I waited.
Finally, I decided that my AR's trigger was so intolerably bad that I had to do something while I waited for an SSA. Now I like Springfield's job so much that I don't see the point of getting the SSA at all.
YMMV,

No kidding on that trigger wait. I submitted and got back a Form1 and still don't have my SSA trigger which was ordered before sending off the forms. You know times are tough when the ATF is quicker than trying to get some parts.
I may have 5 or more for sale in a few weeks :D
Keep an eye on Bravo Company, too. I picked up a couple of SSA's from them recently.
I prefer my "social" rifles to have the standard GI trigger.
I recently got to handle a rifle that had one of Bill's trigger jobs and I have to say that it does have me rethinking my stance a little.
Maybe for my SPR build....................
What I'm looking for is a durable trigger that has a short reset and not much take up and a crisp break, I know that's a balance. I have a match Geisselle, and I like it alot- but that is a lot of smack and I'm looking for a single stage. I have a Noveske trigger, and me not so much likey. Not that is horrible, nice reset, but some creep- I guess I can wait to see how it matures.
How would you describes Bill's triggers?
I'm another one on the ADCO backorder list. Put out feelers a few other places looking for them but no luck. Rather aggravating actually. and this isn't about the nutty post-election market as they've been hard to come by for a long time before that.
What makes the Geissele SSA trigger better than the standard GI one?
The theory is that it is a two-stage trigger that is equally as robust as the stock GI parts. While I don't want one for all of my ARs, I would like to try one on my long-range gun.
The difference is really night and day. My AR's trigger before was gritty and creepy, and it was really annoying.
I'm completely satisfied with the Springfield job. This is difficult to describe, but it's a really nice clean, crisp break.
I got the basic 4-lbs. job, and it's now comparable to the (modified) trigger in my Marlin .22 bolt gun or the single-action trigger in my SIG. I know that those are odd guns to compare, but those are the other single stages that I get to shoot a lot.
If nothing else, Springfield offers a money-back guarantee (though I doubt he has to return many customer's money!). So, if you hate it, the most that it'll cost you is a GI FCG.
Finally, Springfield's turn around was less than a week. I mailed my trigger on a Thursday, and I got it back the following Thursday. Wow.

i love the Hi-Speed trigger. i have the Service spring pack on a SPR-ish build and its perfect.
never gotten a chance to try out the SSA, but i'd really like to. honestly, i don't need the adjustment capabilities.
Same here as another post ---
I got tired of waiting-Had Bill Springfield do my trigger
I am on my 8th month and still patiently waiting for my first two from ADCO. I missed the last batch by one day.
For those that are playing along with the home game...
I emailed ADCO to ask about ETA on my trigger ordered in December '08. He replied that the next to ship will be those ordered in October '08, but no mention of when that might be.
Bravo doesn't even list them anymore, otherwise I'd get on his notification list.
I posted a WTB ad in the BST here. I'm sure I'll get bent over for wanting one sooner, but hopefully not too bad.
I've had as SSA trigger on backorder for 5 months now with Adco. Steve told me today they are another 6-9 months out.:(
holy crap!
Holy crap is right. I've got a new SBR sitting here, forms approved, with no quality trigger or lpk that I can get my hands on.
I now have one on the way through alternate sources (thanks to a member here). Paid a bit of a premium but I expected to. Now if Grant would just get in his LPK sans-hammer/trigger...
:D
You basturd!:D Good for you. I'm willing to pay extra for one at this point also. I should swing down to Geissels shop seeing as I'm only an hour away or so. Maybe trade a days worth of hard labor for a trigger, lol.
Carolina Mountain Tactical had me on their list but I found one before they got them in. Try contact@carolinamountaintactical.com

So what size are the pins? is this trigger for colt size large pins?
Thank you
I think I have about 20 of these bad boys coming in shortly.

Will this work on a N6 AR 10 Noveske lower? Thanks!
Not sure what the hold up is on these triggers. They must be horribly inefficient at manufacturing their products.
I ordered an SSA last September from ADCO. I got it last week. It's a very well built trigger from the looks of it. Very nice feel, breaks at 5.5lbs (average). It's a very nice 2 stage. I haven't had a chance to shoot it yet though.
I had a Bill Springfield 4.5lbs trigger that I ordered form Rainier, but I had to send it back as it failed safety checks as it would release on trigger reset. I'm still waiting for Rainier to get in a replacement.
I thought the SSA was a single stage?
rainier arms shows SSA triggers in stock ;)
Gone in minutes. Nice to see these shipping though - looking forward to Grant getting them in.
