I believe all the Colt LE Rifles have full auto bolt carriers.
yes same bcg.
even Match Target models use it now.
the 6520 is well balanced...too bad it doesn't come from the factory with a flat top upper.
what do you want to do with this carbine? plinking? home defense? SHTF?
Well I've got two 14.5" noveske rifles with aimpoints and thought I'd put a 1-4 on one of them and put the aimpoint from that rifle on the 6920 or... Sell the aimpoint from that rifle and get the 6520 which would be for fun and be a lightweight shtf rifle for my girlfriend.
pound for pound IMHO if u want a bare AR or kiss, its not going to get any lighter or shooter better than a 6520. However if i even want to mount just an optic let alone all the other bells and whistles i would skip the 6920 and go mono-railed with 6940 so u have already got the platform to mount the lights, optics, etc. I dont think folding sights truly can ever be as accurate as an a2 upper w. a2 rear sight and and FSP, esp. when its a colt:cool:. Either way u join a club that has few members that dare complain about all 3 of your choices.
I just have to make up my mind whether I want to have 2 guns with aimpoints and one with a 1-4 or one gun with my T-1, one with a 1-4 and one with a fixed carry handle.not to mention I'm also thinking of the ptr-91 as another option but that doesn't make sense with my intended purpose. Help.
I personally would have two rifles one for cqb and one for medium/long range. The CQB would have the aimpoint, buis, a scout light, single point, and a light stock like a magpul ctr. The medium range would have the 1-4, buis, bipods, 2 point sling, and a stock like the prs, vltor/lmt sopmod, or the magpul ubr or acr. But thats just my opinion.
Far from being an expert here, but I am also trying to "consolidate" my inventory here...
I sold my 6520s and moved on to 6920s. T1s will follow as soon as I can replenish my "play fund".
For my purpose, similarity of set ups would be a plus.
I agree with consolidating. I'd much rather have my weapons to have all similar calibers. Pistols are in .45, Rifles are in 5.56 and 7.62.
So what would you guys do? Noveske basic with aimpoint ml2 in an lt150 and a noveske n4 lopro with a t1 in a lt660. Both with surefires and 2 point slings.
1.) Put the t1 on the basic and sell the ml2. Put a 1-4 on the lo pro and get a 6520, sling and light.
2.)Keep the basic as is, put a 1-4 on the lopro and get a 6920 and put the t1 on it.
3.) Put the t1 on the basic, sell the ml2 and put a 1-4 on the lopro and get a ptr-91.
4.) Keep my 2 noveskes as is, buy a 2nd optic for the lopro to swap on and off with the t1 and buy ammo and be happy with only 2 long guns.
What say you guys?
Whatever is more cost effective is my opinion. Why not get a magnifier on one of the aimpoints?
Templar is there a door/hinge on the pistol grip? I'd probably keep some candy in there lol
I suppose option 4 would bethe cheapest.all of the others are close in price. That pic of the 6520 is awesome.I like the idea of having 3 rifles more than 2 since this will be the last chance at buying a rifle for a few years.
