Went to the range today man was it a scorcher the temp at the range was close to 95 degrees and no wind what so ever. Started the day with 60 rounds of federal xm193 no problem then 100 rounds of federal wally world value pack no problems I did take a couple of breaks to cool my self off and tried to let the rifle cool down some. The the last 100 rounds was UMC 55 grain FMJ after about 80 rounds I could hear the buffer spring [sprong when it cycled] it cycled fine the next shot it did it again this time I had a double feed it looked like it was trying to feed an empty and a fresh cartridge at the same time. Cleared malfunction fired next round it cycled fine then fired second round and I could hear the buffer spring sprong again and I had a second malfunction a stove pipe cleard that and finished out the magazine 10 rounds no problem. I was running low on ammo just 15 rounds left I loaded the magazine and fired the remaining 15 rounds no problem.
I oiled the BCG before I left to go to the range but I didn't oil it any while I was there but the bolt was still wet with oil.
Question is this a typical experience with under powered ammo in a hot and dirty rifle.
