I appreciate it. Its been the hardest item to find. I have been hearing the horror stories of getting on backorder lists and months later the customer gets a notice that they will not fill that item after waiting.

Cathellsk,
Does any of the slings you recommend come in a "single point" configuration. I have never heard of the Blue force gear company but the slings they make look extremely functional.
After everyone's wonderful input, I believe that I will be setting my 6940 up with the XTM's, probably a Larue FUG, VTAC/G2 light set up. The sling jury is still out debating and I will be selling my Sig to fund the Aimpoint T1.
If I dont like the XTM's, I will just throw them in the gun bag and try some of the others that have been recommended on here.:p
No single points. they are both two point slings, which I greatly prefer. Better retention of the rifle while slung is the main reason.
I really like Troy and KAC panels
I tried the XTM's, TD, and Ergo. I thought they were just okay.

I like both Magpul XTM and KAC rail panels. But I prefer the XTM, no more cutting rail panels to fit lights, grips, paq4's etc
My favorite is the TD SCAR. Very grippy, and thin, I like thin. Please excuse the cell phone pic.

Is it true that KAC panels wont fit on the Colt 6940. I believe someone earlier stated that not all covers will fit the factory colt rail.
Mine still won't, I tried again.
i do the ladder covers on DD lite rails. i like the low profile and it's enough grip in less than ideal weather conditions.
i don't put covers on the top of the rail as it will lend itself to keeping more heat in.
i usually wear gloves when i'm shooting but i don't recall the rifle ever getting too hot to be uncomfortable.
I came across this rail cover the other day. It seems like a KAC rail, but mounts like a MAGPUL. http://www.ergogrips.net/item-detail...=redicover.gif
