So your weapon is exhibiting an occasional failure to feed where the round gets hung up on the left side feed ramp and it is happening regardless of magazines used?
Is that correct?
If so contact LMT.

yes correct happens when i'm firing i'll contact LMT.
Have you tried any ammo besides the UMC. That is Remington's "cheapo" ammo and can cause problems. Personally, I have run 200 rds through my LMT without problem, but based on reports of problems, have stopped buying it and now stick to M193 as my plinking ammo.
You said "new" problem. What was it doing before?
problems witht pmags was the earlier problem. hanging up and sticking the bolt carrier. i sanded the back with a dremel and they are functioning smoothly now.
Different ammo i did not try, i'll try that this weekend.
I'd try different ammo...I dont know UMC but maybe it's not hot enough to cycle your weapon.
If the upper is also an LMT it is designed to run mil-spec 5.56.. Some of the commercial .223 may be underpowered to cycle the action so to speak, that is what I would guess is causing your failure to feed issues.. Try some NATO/mil-spec XM193 or M855 etc. ammo.. The gas port on your barrel can be enlarged (by a competent gunsmith) to run commercial ammo reliably.. Let us know how some NATO ammo works.. Regards, Rock
I know the gas port is spec'd for mil-spec ammo, but I have found my LMT will run everything from Wolf 55gr to UMC and American Eagle .223 without a problem on an H buffer and a Carbine buffer.
I seriously doubt that is the issue.
Call LMT and send it in, seriously.
Just MHO, but it is time to stop dicking around with an internet forum to try to "diagnose and treat" the issue. Something is wrong with your weapon and short of sending it in to an expert, or you taking an M4 armorers course you're not going to fix it by trying this or that.
LMT makes one of the best and most reliable carbines you can buy. It should run Remington UMC 100% without issue. It should be able to use a PMAG 100% without issue. If it cannot then there is a problem and it needs to be fixed by a professional.
It's not like we're trying to get a DPMS Kitty kat 7" upper to run.
