Functionally, I don't think you'd have had a problem, but it definitely looks better, now. MUCH better!
Did they describe what they fixed or give any detail as to the specific cause of those black spots in your reticle?

paul075,
Twelve day turn around and it looks like they fixed the problem. Great service! I'm looking forward to getting mine back soon.
The scope functioned fine, but for the $ it should not have the spots. Eric at Trijicon said it was called a "slider" but did not give an explanation of what that was. I think it photoluminescent material was stamped a little off to the right side which is why the spots are on the left and the top of the "4" was lit. There will always be some defects in the manufacture of anything. Its is how the company deals with them that shows integrity. Trijicon has great customer service.
IIRC from a convo with a Triji rep, the dot is 2MOA and the horseshoe is 10MOA.
I talked to Eric at Trijicon again yesterday. This is the info he gave me over the phone.

He said they are working on a manual and will send me one when it is finished.
The BDC is based on an average of the common 5.56 rounds and barrel lengths. So I guess a 17.25" barrel and 58.5 grain bullet.
WHERE CAN I FIND ONE OF THESE IN GREEN OR RED ??????
I was contacted by Eric today and Trijicon's repair department determined that my scope was within spec's and they were returning it to me. In all fairness the"spots" in my reticle were not nearly as noticeable as yours. If the reticle changes in the future it still would be covered under warranty. I also asked about the TA31H-68 which is a red horshoe reticle for the 6.8SPC out to 800m. He said that no plans for offering it in green in the near future, but they have had inquiries from coustomers for a TA11 in green for the 6.8SPC and they are looking into that. I would be very interested in that!
