That is correct - which I was very hesitant to buy. (Spike's barrel but made by F&N for them using the same steel and chrome lining thickness as Noveske's CHF barrels, also made by F&N)
My dilemma was that I wanted a lightweight SBR using a barrel in 11.5" with a lightweight profile (.625) that is also hammer forged; you just can't find them for sale since DD discontinued theirs and KAC is not really selling their 11.5" dimpled med-con yet. I will say that I gauged the shit out if it once I received it for bore straightness, co-eccentric threading, chamber dimensions, hell even the gas port diameter. Everything I checked shows its GTG - I will post a separate thread to update everyone once I shoot it and check it's groups. Even the gas port diameter (which had me freaked out and worried that it was way over-sized for a suppressed build) turned out to be only about 3% larger than what BCM puts in their hammer forged Gov't profile 11.5" barrels. I did install a .625" Syrac adjustable micro gas block just to ensure this setup runs damn well suppressed. ;) OK, back to the KAC pics!!!
Midlength URX 3.1 paired with a Rainier Arms Ultramatch 13.7" 1:8 barrel and Surefire CAM4FA556 flash hider/suppressor adapter. The rifle is very handy and shoots 1MOA with Southwest Ammo 75gr BTHP loads, 2MOA with Prvi 75gr Match. POI shift with the can mounted is 4" straight down at 100 yards.
The 13.7" barrel is meant to pair with a pinned Noveske KX3 to bring the barrel up to 16", but damn if it doesn't work perfectly with the midlength URX3.1 and the Surefire suppressor adapter.

I will be receiving a 14.5 middy with a 13.5 URX 3.1 shortly!! I was wondering though, is there plenty of room for suppressors with this set up? If someone has links or can post pictures of this similar setup i would much appreciate it. Thanks in advance
Take a look a the pics on this link http://www.silencertalk.com/forum/vi...p?f=91&t=88492
It sure looks like you wont have any problems with a suppressor fitting.
Awesome, yeah it looks like there is just enough room. Thanks for the find
