I don't know, I think its the amount of locktite thats the issue. I think a little is OK. I installed a couple of other LMT ambis without issue after I removed about 80% of the locktite. Still very hard to get the screw out, but didn't break the allen wrench. The design still sucks IMO. They need a longer screw instead of the smallest screw possible. Maybe we'll get lucky and Magpul will invent a better ambi safety, plus it will come in several colors. :)
Or make the damn things out of titanium--screws and all.
the worse thing to happen if you are not using loctite is the screw coming loose and losing that side of the selector lever. The gun will still be operable.Don't do it unless you already have some of those screws cause if you ever want to take your safety out you are most likely going to have to drill the screw out.Have plenty of spare screws.I got me some.maybe if you put just a tiny amount of loctite might work but I would'nt use much at all.
For those having a hard time getting an ambi mag release, I got my Norgon through Operation Parts and grabbed the ambi safety through BTI Tactical.
Going to attempt installation soon. So, I might be calling on you experts here for some advice ;). Take Very Good Care and Be Safe Always.

I got one on my old rifle don't remember the make thats held on with a E-clip it rattles around but hasen't feel off in 20 years. I wish I knew who it was made by, back when I got the rifle not many makers of AR's or parts that was within "Pvt's pay" back in "88"
My LMT ambi also hasnt come loose.
So the LMT ambi is good to go then? Will be ordering one tomorrow if so.
thanks
