Overpriced, lacking in features and QC.
you can get much better for the same $$.
Check out an ADS at Shooter's Vault on Greenway if you're interested in a local manf.

I called ASA yesterday and they said they have just started making some changes such as better key staking and better barrels now. They also made it a point to tell me they build them in house. They really talked up their product. I still dont know though. Is an LMT or LWRC piston gun the way to go?
Stay away from asa. What are they asking for a complete rifle?
Buy a BCM and don't look back.....
You can do worse. I have a new ASA, and I really like it.
It is important to note that they do have a bad reputation that the new owner is really trying his best to turn around. They do have a forever warranty, even on the "old" guns. Ithey seem to be trying to make everything right with everyone. I have not had any failures yet so I can't comment on how that translates into real world customer service.
Bcg is properly staked, end plate too. It shoots better than I do. It does have the semi auto enhanced bcg, not the fa. Not sure what buffer it has. I have 800 rounds (ish) through her and no problems. I have had her about 4 or 5 months. Damn nice barrel. My trigger is okay. Typical service trigger with a little creep. I don't know anything about the side charging option, but I am happy with the standard bolt charger. Pm me if you want any more details.
I recently purchased and ASA, and have had no problems. Tried different types of ammo, and have currently run 2000 rounds. Barrel is their 1/7.
I don't see any reason to vet new companies when we have a group of solid manufacturers to choose from.
ASA isn't offering anything we haven't seen two dozen times already. We know that BCM/Colt/DD/KAC/Noveske are good to go, and they cover every possible configuration you could want. Why tempt fate with a hobby gun builder for no good reason?
I couldnt help notice the comment referring to the warranty.
Doesnt Taurus have a lifetime warranty? Their Cust. Service is by far the worst of any other manufacturer on top of KNOWN shit product.
A good warranty doesnt mean a thing if you cant get ahold of them
Ya I would say that applies here. Thats a good quote.
I have heard the WORST horror stories from Taurus owners.
