I went with the MI sling mount on my SOPMOD stock. I think it’s basically the same as the KAC version.

Which KAC one is it? I see 2 different ones listed on operation parts.
Lumpy,
The following is not an answer to you question:
I haven't taken pics in close to a year.............but I've gone to SOPMOD stocks on a majority of my AR's. I run the Vickers sling on all of them.
Another option you may want to consider is to have a QD front and run the rear of the sling through the vertical slot at the rear of the stock (same method shown in the directions provided with the Vickers sling).
The front QD allows me to disconnect the sling when I want to seperate the upper and lower (ie. cleaning, maintence, etc).
I have tried several different mounting options for the SOPMOD and found that threading the sling / buckle through the -vertical- slot at the rear of the SOPMOD is the most comfortable and non problematic option that I have tried. I have found that a QD mount on the stock tends to interfer with my cheek well from time to time, and if running QD, both front and rear, the sling tends to get tangled easily.
I don't have any pics with the SOPMOD, but it's basically the same configuration as pictured below, with the exception that I use the -vertical- slot on the SOPMOD, instead of the horiziontal slot pictured on the Vltor:

If you look closely in this pic you can see the buckle / sling looped through the vertical slot on the buttstock:

Thanks Jeff,
I havent even had a chance to take the SOPMOD out for a spin yet. I'll try both methods on Monday and see what works.
