I was just wondering if it is work going through the time and stuff to get a tax stamp for a short barrel rifle? I have been pondering this for awhile and I cant decide. I 've been wanting to get a 12" to a 14.5" 6.8 but I havent been able to convince myself to go ahead and do it. I do most of my traning with the M4 platform with the military so i usually dont go out and shoot matches or get additional training on my civilian time. But I would also just like to have one. As some of you know I already have a 6.8 in a 16" barrel.
I've also thought about just taking my barrel off and getting cut and threaded for a shorter (legally of course). I would just like to have everyones input. I also have a wedding to pay for in September so this will also require me to convince the future wife of allowing me to do it as well.
Thanks everyone for the input.
